So a little bit about myself and what inspired me to shift this blog into more of a health blog. I was diagnosed with depression in 2017 and I struggled with it. I was later diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease in 2019 after dealing with symptoms since 2012. I have had other complications from Crohn’s Disease and also ended up with a temporary ileostomy. I named her Sally and she has been with me since 2019. Living with an ileostomy isn’t too much of a problem. There are times I face issues with having to deal with certain problems such as leakages, trying to keep my ostomy hidden, and feeling like I am getting less nutrients.
I never used to be really open with my mental and health issues until I started realizing that opening up and discussing them definitely does help. Not only does it raise awareness, but you are a part of a supportive community that is there helping everyone out.
